After a long wait of three years, Dhanush’s much anticipated movie, ‘Vada Chennai’ has finally finished its shooting. The makers were excited to share the first look of the actor from the movie and here it is. The Kodi actor took to his Twitter account yesterday to share the exciting news with all his fans and there he is; fulfilling his promise of releasing the first look today morning. The movie that spans across 35 years will see the actor as a carrom champion and the story chronicles around the lives of people inhabiting a village for so many years. Earlier reports suggested that the story is in fact a gangster drama set in North Chennai but director Vetrimaaran had refuted all these stories saying there’s more to it.
Dhanush’s first look from Vada Chennai indeed looks interesting and intriguing to us. Imagine a happy face getting down from a police van after being arrested! Anyone would be curious enough to know why and how, right? The same curiosity is killing us and has gotten us eager beaver. Dhanush’s treat for his fans didn’t end here as the actor had another surprise planned for them. Minutes after releasing his first look, he released a new poster from the movie which looked equally interesting. Here check it out below..
The project that’s termed to be the most ambitious one in the entire career of the director has been shot in the most realistic manner featuring raw and hard-hitting action. Instead of focusing on his gangster side, it will be inclined towards his emotional journey. The actor-director combo have earlier worked before in films like Polladhavan and Aadukalam and that’s the reason their fans are excited to see their collaboration for the third time.
Dhanush, who was mighty impressed with the movie’s script had allotted 200 days of his schedule for this project and guess all the wait was worth it. The unit had recently wrap the movie’s shooting in February and a picture featuring the cast of the film had surface online. The picture featured Vetrimaaran along with the important cast members of the film except Dhanush. If all goes well and post production work is finished on time, the makers plan to release it by this year end. The film by National award winner filmmaker Vetrimaaran is a trilogy and they plan to start the shooting of the second part after the release of part one. The film also stars Kaaka Muttai fame Aishwarya Rajesh in a key role which was originally offered to Amala Paul. The film also features Andrea Jeremiah, Daniel Balaji, Kishore and a bevy of actors in crucial roles.
In an interview to us earlier Dhanush had said , “Vada Chennai is not an art-house film. It will be an ultra-commercial movie. We are shooting each part separately. We will shoot the next part after the release of the first part.” Along with his social drama, Dhanush is also excited about Kaala featuring superstar Rajinikanth that hits the screens in April this year.
