Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif‘s jodi has been one of the most successful one’s in Bollywood.The duo has worked together in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (APKGK) and Raajneeti a few years back and we have to say their sizzling chemistry set the screen on fire. They have now come together for Anurag Basu’s Jagga Jasoos, but this time that spark seems to be missing. In fact, not only the chemistry, but the story has also not been able to pull in the audience. With that, it could manage to rake in only Rs 8.57 crore at the box office on day one. And though it beat Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani‘s first day collection, it could not challenge Raajneeti‘s opening. This makes Jagga Jasoos the jodi’s second highest opener till date.
If you compare the opening day collections of jagga jasoos with Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Raajneeti, you will realise what we are talking about. APKGK raked in Rs 6.75 crore on day one when it was released in 2009. Raajneeti, on the other hand, collected Rs 10.50 crore when it released the following year. Seven years down the line, the jodi has reunited for come up with Jagga Jasoos, but they could only manage to earn Rs 8.57 crore at the box office on the opening day. This quite clearly slots JJ in between Raajneeti and APKGK.
