Fashion hits and misses of the week (September 25 – October 1)

 Celebrity stylist Sanjana Batra worked her magic when she picked an all-white ensemble from Gaurav Gupta for Shilpa Shetty. Accessories of choice were some exquisite pieces from Amrapali Jewels. Given the outfit was so pretty with the draped silhouette at the bottom, even tousled hair would have looked good but Shetty went ahead with a simple blow-out. A pair of silver Aldo heels complemented the outfit.

 Esha Gupta was spotted head to toe in Zara and it was so smooth that she just earned herself the tag ‘Queen of street style’. The mini dress with lace detailing was pretty in itself but pairing it up with knee-high booties and a white comfy shrug to amp up the look was just too clever. Talk about looking like a bomb while being comfortable at the same time.

 Karisma Kapoor was spotted in a lace Self-Portrait jumpsuit which she paired with Louboutin pumps and a box clutch. The jumpsuit was a beauty in itself and Karisma did full justice to it by keeping the rest of the look simple. We think tied up hair and a bright red lipshade was the right choice. She looked lovely.

 Ranveer Singh is a brave man. We are not just talking about his ability to speak his mind but also his sartorial experiments on the red carpet. Sure, he surprises us from time to time with his quirky sense of style but at the GQ Men Of The Year Awards in Mumbai the actor took it to the next level. He pushed the boundaries in men’s fashion in a DSquared2 outfit from its Fall 2016 collection. Singh carried the tuxedo-cum-long-skirt look with so much ease that it’s commendable. Don’t miss out the mini boombox he carried around to accessorise the look. He deserves a big round of applause.

 At a promotional event for her upcoming movie Force 2, Sonakshi Sinha was apotted in a white Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna dress. Hair in a side-parted soft wavy do, the actress finished the look with ankle-strap sandals by House of CB and earrings from Aurelle by Leshna Shah. She looked good.

Saif Ali Khan was spotted in a three-piece cream suit and we love how he added an extra visual interest to his look with the contrasting tie. Problem though was the white and tan oxfords. We think complete tan shoes would have looked better. Other than that, he looked good.

By now we all know how Kareena Kapoor Khan is a pro at maternity dressing and this time too the actress did not disappoint us. The mom-to-be opted for comfort without compromising on style in a one-shouldered Deme kaftan which she paired with a geometric clutch and lace-up sandals. With hair worn part up, she accessorised her look with a Bvlgari serpenti watch and an emerald necklace.

 Jacqueline Fernandez was spotted in a Zara bomber and skirt with a white crop-top from Madison. We think the actress played her cards really well.

For her off-duty look, Alia Bhatt was spotted in a Madison jumpsuit which she paired with a Uterqüe shirt. Her choice of accessory was a Hermès Kelly bag. She looked cute.
