Emotional Anil Kapoor hopes son Harshvardhan will get the same love and affection he has received

Anil Kapoor grew emotional while speaking about his son Harshavardhan’s impending Bollywood debut, Mirziya. At the grand music launch of the film, the veteran actor was almost moved to tears while recollecting how the Kapoor family has risen to a position of strength in the film industry with their sincere hard work while remaining immune from controversies and scams.
“Life has come a full circle for me. My father entered the film industry many years. He saw success and disappointment. It’s a very joyous moment today. It’s a matter of great pride that my son will soon be making his debut. I can say about him, ‘Beta ho toh aisa, par meri baat hi nahi sunta.’ He just doesn’t listen to me at all.”
Complimenting his son for having made his debut on his own merit sans the star power of the Kapoor family, Anil said, “I can assure you that whatever he has done today is through his own merit. He got the film on his own. He believes that he is different. So don’t expect anything like me from him and that is this strength.”
Imploring the industry and his fans to support his son Harshvardhan, Anil said, “My entire family has given their sweat blood to the industry. We have never compromised on anything. We have never been involved in any scam. We gave everything to showbiz. The love and affection that you have given me, please give it to my son as well.”
The actor also thanked director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for giving Harshvardhan his first big break.
